Frequently Asked Questions

  • Everyone experiences challenges throughout their lifetime. Many times we may handle these challenges on our own or with our natural support systems, however, it is a strength to realize that some difficulties you are facing may require more support than you or your immediate family and friends can provide to you. Therapy offers an opportunity for self-discovery and growth in a safe, non-judgmental, and confidential environment.

  • Medication is a great tool for reducing symptoms of emotional pain, however medication alone does not address the cause of these symptoms. Many times those with moderate to severe symptoms may report continued disturbances because they have not utilized therapy to target unhelpful thought patterns, beliefs, or memories that contribute to emotional pain. Therapy offers an opportunity to identify and build healthy thoughts and coping skills to establish lasting positive mood and functioning.

  • This is your decision to make! Your complimentary 15 minute phone consultation is your opportunity to interview me to collect everything you need to make this informed decision. Is it important that you feel calm and at ease, or safe and secure. Is humor or lightening the mood important to you, or do you want to feel well informed and enlightened. How these feelings are translated during your consultation is key!
